IMPORTANT: For the World Cup in South Africa from the 11 June to the 11 July 2010 Purple Palms is only accepting bookings made directly with the establishment!
Why Purple Palms?
Purple Palms is Situated:
- 10 km from the JHB international airport.
- 20 km from Ellis Park Stadium (Mini bus to airport then bus to stadium)
- 40 Km to Soccer City (Mini bus to airport then bus to stadium)
- Next to main artery R25 to R21 to Loftus in Pretoria 45km. Or Gautrain (metro) from airport to Hatfield (Loftus stadium)
- closest budget accommodation to the Dries Niemandt Welcome Village (public viewing on big screens, food stalls etc.. No ticket required!)
- Car hire can be arranged at the airport, on line with us or at our premises and we have free inside secure parking.
For the size of Johannesburg, this is a short distance.
We are basically central to all 3 played stadiums.
We offer free airport pick ups and ADSL internet.
Airport drop offs can be arranged with staff free of charge but only at staff appointed times.
Shops are next door for essentials as well as a local pub.
Purple Palms has TV sets in the rooms to catch up on those missed matches.
Don’t forget our outside bar and pool, with BBQ facilities.
- We offer Baz Bus tickets and are a Baz Bus stop.
- We have an on site and on line travel centre.
World Cup Accommodation Bookings:
- Only credit cards will be accepted as means of payment.
- Cards will need to be valid for duration of visit.
- Booking form YES confirmation will be valid final proof of booking form Terms and Conditions being agreed to.
- Bookings will be confirmed when client card charge permission is obtained and full payment being made.
- Please sign your credit card slip on arrival.

- Please choose room type, add cost and then your in and out dates.
- Contact lodge on www.purplepalms.co.za for availability.
- Compile the full cost and enter the total in the block on the booking form under Cost Quoted / Accepted and then send your booking form.

Our stay at Purple Palms was very good. Very hospitable staff members. The rooms very immaculately clean. The environs, ie the gardens and the bar are nextto none. I have stayed at other lodges in SA, but yours is top of the list in terms of conditions. Keep it up. Will call again!

Accommodation was perfect. The atmosphere in the back yard in the evening was unforgettable. We all are convinced that we'll recommend this hostel to our friends and if we have a chance in the future we'll be back again.

Lovely hostel, high standard of cleanliness. Throughout I felt very homely. The staff were friendly & helpful. My room (elephant) was excellent. Hot shower was fantastic after travelling for six weeks.
I shall recommend to all my friends!
